The one angel who denies Redemption's aid “is the most able to forgive himself,” but he is left wingless and broken, hating the demiurge and his creation and feeling betrayed. Cast out of Heaven, “his name is Curse,” thrown into the dirt of humankind like a meteor; “a nightfall lit up by an angel fall.”
