A bright spirit that roams outside every realm, even the outer darkness.
Tree I: Lifech. 33
The spirit roams free, outside Limbo, the material world, the stars and planets, and even outside the outer darkness. It shines in the darkness, “seeing the truth of the realms,” and swims up through the abyss to a place above all of it, wanting to be heard: “We are the same!” Its next saying, “Either sleeping or waking, come to life and see,” shakes every world. Snakes hide beneath rocks, the Leviathan shudders, and the Yaldabaoth runs from it and trips into the outermost moat. Unable to become full without love, the spirit descends again toward the knocks and whispers it has heard: “Life returns to the dead home, searching for the sleeper caught in between.”
