Chapter 33

Tree I: Life

The spirit roams free, outside the limbo, the material world, the stars and planets, and even outside the outer darkness. The spirit is bright, and it shines in the darkness, seeing the truth of the realms. The spirit swims in the abyssal, up and up, ascending to a place above all of it, wanting to be heard. “We are the same!” the spirit of life declares.

“Either sleeping or waking, come to life and see.” The worlds reverberate and shake, the sound finding its way through any medium necessary. Many snakes hide beneath rocks. The Leviathan shudders, where the outer darkness will frown for the first time. The Yaldabaoth tries to run from the saying, trying to find life in their ignorance, believing it to be for gluttonous feasting. But they trip and fall into the outermost moat of the outer darkness, finding no life beyond his prison to consume there, only the nothingness swallowing his imperfect flame. The Yaldabaoth flees with terror and confusion at the lower realm of nothingness, sickened in its lostness. Saturn is resonant in sickness by the first moat, and its rings, like the first encircling darkness around creation, are found hidden on the seventh day from itself and Earth as homage, honouring the suffering of its God.

Many demons search for life, but their idea of it is blind. Though a sleeping half feels it in her heart, they shamefully knock at a door, whispering needs unmet, hinting of her confinement. The guardian angel knows this, but it cannot ascend to this spirit as its future until it frees the sleeping hatred who rejects itself.

The spark either is life or death, and it is either divine or false as ritual imitation.

The spirit begins descending now, unable to become full without love. They seek out the knocks and whispers heard. Life returns to the dead home, searching for the sleeper caught in between.
