Rulers of the stars of creation. The text names them several times but says little about who they are.
Their starsch. 10
The true angels hang by the spine from “the archons' stars.” When Antony climbs among them, “they do not attempt to bind him; not even one dares.” After his wound, the archons question the place of the demiurge, confused.
Betrayal and cellsch. 11, 13
In Thomas's storm the sun falls, “shot down by an Archon's fired betrayal” (11). The angry God brings hearts “into confines of the Archonic cell plans” (13).
At the ritech. 18
“The archons glow in the night in solidarity,” and “the archons of the glowing throughout the cloud-covered desert night” are among all that speaks to the boy.
The text shows where the archons are and a few things they do, but not who or what they are.
