Euclids

The two tribes of the island, who share a secret on the evil of creation.

The shared secretch. 16

“The Euclids want to connect to the divine in their own way, all sharing a secret on the evil of creation, on the prison of the material world. They all acknowledge the demiurge.” They differ in practice, in the manner and kind of essence of the nameless one, and in solution.

The tribe of Binahch. 16, 19

Euclids of the South mountains. They pour wax down their backs, lash themselves, starve, and empty themselves “of the emptiness they lie in.” One practitioner is castrated, hairless and rune-burned, with wires pumping from his skull. In a cave of forgotten machines they cut out Samson's heart and set Antony into its place (19).

The gruntsch. 16, 19

Each practitioner of Binah is a slave master with grunts of their own: soul-locked, brains hijacked by machines from a forgotten age, burned with symbols of soul slavery, moving at orders not their own (16). They haul the gates and crank the spreader at Samson's surgery (19).

The tribe of Tipharethch. 16

Euclids of the stony North mountains, led by the eighteen-year-old Kether, worshipped as a God. They wear dark-smoked amber with scarlet, trade in taboo knowledge, alchemy, chemicals, humans and artifacts, synthesize new drugs, and seek vision through bondage and pleasure. Their warriors fight like jackals and scorpions.
