Codex of Locations · Limbo

Limbo

The realm of neither living nor dead.

Betweench. 26, 30

The Fool calls his home “in between the unreal realms of the material and the nothingness … Of spirit beyond!” (26), and “the land of neither dead nor living” (30).

Namedch. 3, 18, 31, 33

“Fading births and fathomless limbo” (3). “Spit revelation's limbo back into the cup of sand” (18). Wisdom is “of the first of third Limbo” (31). The spirit of life roams “outside the limbo” (33).

Note: the layers of Limbo lie between the first moat and creation. Their order on the map follows Samson's walk; the text does not say which way is outward.
