A black abyss twice as long as the first.
Where the Sun was lostch. 36
Never having seen it, Yaldabaoth wonders how to pass “twice as long as the last.” He tears the Sun from the sky and throws it into “the abyssal moat,” hoping to see. The dark devours the light, the Sun sinks into the black tar, and the quicksand of dark pulls him down after it, face first, “like a child drowning in the pool of oil.” Lucifer lifts him out with a ladder of a word, but “the sun is missing and left behind.”
